Target Participants
Non Social Work or Counselling professionals and volunteers in the Social Service that possesses the following:
- A minimum of 3 GCE ‘O’ Level credits including English Language as a first language.
- At least 2 years work experience

Candidates who do not meet the minimum qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Trainer
Dr Katijah Dawood, PhD (Social Work), is currently an Executive Director of SOMC (Centre for Family Harmony). The Centre provides a range of services for children from divorced families. Dr Katijah conducts training in the area of legal and ethical issues, children and families; and personal development. She has also tutored with the University of Queensland, School of Social Work on subjects like Direct Practice, Human Development, Social Policy, Best of Difference, Multicultural Modernities and Understanding Human Behaviour from 2002 to 2005. She was with the Ministry and Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and the Subordinate Courts, prior to pursuing her doctorate in 2002. She is currently a member of the Family Violence Dialogue Group chaired by MCYS and The Police; Advisory and Discharge Committee; MCYS and the ADR advisory Council, The Subordinate Courts.
